Two much awaited Kannada films will release on the 24th of December in an attempt to woo a maximum number of audience this festive season. According to reports in the media, Mylari and Sri Naga Shakthi will hit theaters next week and both films are expected to draw in a huge crowd who will assemble in theaters during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
While Mylari was scheduled to release this week, the date has been postponed by a week. In a statement to the media, Shivrajkumar, the lead actor in the Kannada film has said that he does not mind the decision taken by the producers of Mylari to stall the release of the film by a week. In fact he is rather happy because this will mean more business for the film as a greater number of audiences will visit theaters during the festive season. Shivrajkumar portrays six roles in the upcoming film.
On the other hand, Sri Naga Shakthi, which is the production venture of erstwhile actress Chandrika, also releasing on the 24th, is a commercial film but with a devotional touch. In a statement to the media, Chandrika says that she is looking forward to her next release as a producer as Sri Naga Shakthi is the perfect film for the family to watch together. While the devotional element in the film will appeal to the religious population in South India, the message that the film seeks to portray is also socially pertinent.
The Kannada audiences are eagerly waiting for Mylari and Sri Naga Shakthi to hit theaters.
