(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's son Christopher has been released from hospital.
The 13-year-old had spent several days in the Intensive Care Unit of UCLA hospital following a boogie boarding accident at a Malibu beach that left him with multiple injuries.
He was treated for broken bones, broken ribs and a collapsed lung, but his mother Maria took to her Twitter page today to give an update on his progress.
"Blessed to be able to take Christopher out of the hospital last night. What a feeling of relief to know that he's going to be fine," she tweeted.
Arnold also took to the social networking site to share his happiness at his son's recovery.
"I knew Christopher couldn't be stopped! Big thanks to all the doctors, nurses & staff at UCLA that helped him recover," he wrote.
Maria, who is divorcing Arnold after 25 years of marriage, kept a vigil at her youngest child's bedside throughout his stay and was said to be "shaken horribly" by the accident.
Earlier this year the former First Lady of California suffered the humiliating blow that Arnold had fathered a 13-year-old boy with their former housekeeper and had kept the secret from her their four kids. (C) Cover Media
