(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Selena Gomez joked "renting" out the Eiffel Tower was "no big deal".
The 18-year-old actress is starring in upcoming film Monte Carlo, alongside Leighton Meester, Katie Cassidy and Cory Monteith.
The romantic comedy follows three young women vacationing in Paris who find themselves whisked away to Monte Carlo after one of the girls, Grace portrayed by Selena - is mistaken for a British heiress.
The cast filmed in several locations, including France, Monaco and Hungary, and were able to sample some of the cultural delights that each country had to offer.
Selena says Paris was her favourite destination, and visiting the Eiffel Tower in a small group was a particular highlight.
"We rented out the Eiffel Tower, no big deal," she joked in an interview with MTV.
Leighton agreed that the global icon of France was a breathtaking experience. The stunning star, who is best known for her role as Blair Waldorf in the hit series Gossip Girl, says the views from the top of the tower were amazing.
"We got up in the Eiffel Tower," she recalled. "But it wasn't just go up for a trip, we got there all alone. It was just us at 5am when the sun was just rising. It was really beautiful."
Leighton also revealed that the young cast enjoyed a lot of laughs while making the movie. The 25-year-old star was grateful for the "fun" company surrounding her as they travelled.
"It was fun both on - and off[screen]," she said. "A lot of what was happening offscreen was just an extension of the fun we were having outside."
Meanwhile, Shia LaBeouf has revealed he is star struck by Selena's boyfriend and Canadian singing sensation Justin Bieber.
The Hollywood actor, who Selena has confessed to having a huge crush on, recalled the time he met the 17-year-old chart-topper at the MTV Movie Awards and was blown away by his "presence".
"He rolls up with a huge squad of dudes ..." Shia said in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel. "He has this presence like Buddha or a young prince. I went up to say, Hi' and the security is like, 'Wow, wow' and ready to take me down. Bieber does this two-finger wave like, 'He's OK'.
"He's like a 16-year-old Frank Sinatra - he has so much presence."
Selena posted a video on YouTube earlier this week that showed her coming face to face with her longtime celebrity crush Shia. (C) Cover Media
