(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Snoop Dogg thinks getting slimed at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards is as good as winning an Oscar or Grammy.

The rapper was only too happy to attend the annual ceremony this year. The prizes are voted for by viewers of the children's channel and one of the highlights of the evening is seeing which celebrities will be covered in bright green slime when they take to the stage. Snoop received that dubious honour this year, but insists it was vital for his career.

"The kids have wrapped their arms around me in America and when that happens you have to give them back that same love and appreciation. To get slimmed at the Kids' Choice Awards is like winning a Grammy or an Oscar. How could it hurt my credibility when the kids love me and I love the kids?" he said.

Snoop turns 40 this year but has no intention of slowing down. He loves his job and wants to keep releasing records for as long as possible, insisting it will be possible for him to continuing working in hip-hop even when he's an old man.

"I don't know what I'm going to do for my birthday but I think I've got about 20 more years as a good rapper," he mused to Q magazine. "I do. I'm going to be the one that's like the BB King of rap."

The hip-hop star is happy with his wife Shante Taylor and they have three kids together. Despite his settled home life, Snoop can still recognise a pretty woman when he sees one. He doesn't understand why so many females feel the need to alter their appearance with surgery though, insisting for the most part it's unappealing to men.

"I love a nice, petite woman who's natural and content with herself; she doesn't feel like she has to bump up herself by adding on some Tupperware t**ties or getting a butt injection," he explained. (C) Cover Media
