When it comes to reel-life mothers many names suddenly sparks in our mind as B-town mommies are gradually changing from time to time. Right from the simple old sari-clad mom to the young fitness fanatic mom, we have seen it all. And kudos to the actresses who have played the role of mothers in various films. Remember Neerja Bhanot's brave mother from the film 'Neerja', Shabana Azmi lived the character of the mother of real Neerja and just nailed it with her acting.
Now the actress is all set to experiment by playing a prying mommy to her lesbian daughter in the movie 'Signature Move' which is directed by Jennifer Reeder and produced by Michael Shannon. While talking about her character Shabana said, "I play a mother who is addicted to TV. After her husband dies, she moves in with her daughter in Chicago and starts keeping a close tab on her life, discovering that she is a lesbian and a Lucha Libre (profes sional wrestling) wrestler. It's a fun film."
Shabana will also be seen in a screen re telling of Munshi Premchand's short story Idgah, which is being shot in Kashmir. Idgah is a story of an eight-year old boy Hamid and the special bond which he shares with his grandmother.
