Just a few days back Akshay Kumar revealed the first look of the his upcoming film 'Toilet - Ek Prem Katha' and we loved his desi avatar with Bhumi Pednekar. The film is based on the concept of Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat campaign and will speak about maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. The first schedule of the film is being shot in Mathura and now the film has landed itself in a legal soup.
The locals of the Mathura are demanding to delete a scene from the movie which shows a boy and girl of Nandgaon and Barsana villages respectively getting married to each other. According to traditions, a man and a woman of the said villages don't marry each other in the due respect of lord Krishna and Radha.
Ghanshyam Raj Bhatta, convenor of Brajacharya Peetha Oonchagaon (Barsana) while speaking to a leading daily said, "Marriages between the residents of the two villages are not solemnized since the age of Dwapar. The scene would be an attack on the tradition."
A local leader has also declared a reward of Rs. 1 crore who will present him with the tongue of the director of the film. He further said that he will appeal to the High Court if the scene is not deleted.
