Shahid Kapoor's luscious hair locks which have been now sacrificed for his role in his upcoming film
'Haider'.
Shahid recently shaved off his head for the remaining portion of his film with filmmaker
Vishal Bhardwaj that is currently being shot in Kashmir.
We hear his stylist Aalim Hakim had flown down from Mumbai to give him his service as he got his head shaved off at a five star hotel in Pahalgam.
Though he has been very vocal about the plan and the idea of going bald for a role since a very long time, he surprisingly tried to cover it with an all-enveloping cap.
A hoard of 15,000 fans gathered at the Kehribal area to catch their favorite actor performing live. Apparently the crowd went berserk and police had to intervene to control the mob. Shahid, along with
Tabu,
Irrfan Khan and
Shraddha Kapoor resumed shooting shortly thereafter.
In the meanwhile, the online world was abuzz with requests for Shahid to not shave his head.
Thousands of fans urged Shahid to not go bald using hash tags like #DontGoBald, #DontGoBaldShahid, ShanaticsSupportShahid on Twitter.
Though he expressed his grief to shave off his hair which he loves, he being a professional didn't hesitate to take the bold step or shall we say the 'bald' step?!!
