Initially, Shankar and producers of Gemini Film Circuit might have had the plans of making the film bilingually in Tamil and Telugu., That was the reason why they signed Vijay for the Tamil version and Mahesh Babu for the Telugu version titled '3 Rascals'. But off the late, Mahesh Babu walked out of the project as he couldn't manage the dates between his other projects. Now the producers have decided to dub the Tamil version in Telugu with the strong belief that it will work out well at box office. Shankar has already proved of his adeptness over giving hit movies in dubbed versions that includes his previous magnum opus 'Enthiran'. So, '3 Rascals' will have Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth along with Ileana D' Cruz doing the lead roles while Abburi Ravi, the famous writer has been signed to pen the dialogues.
