Sharon Stone has embraced getting older saying "it's hot to be in your 50s."
The 53-year-old Hollywood star is recognised as one of the sexiest women in the entertainment industry.
She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Martin Scorsese yesterday at AARP Magazine's 11th Annual Movies for Grownups Awards Gala in Los Angeles.
Sharon revealed her secrets for looking good and also credits her supportive family.
"I like to live a healthy life," she explained to Extra TV. "I like to live a spiritual life, and I'm so lucky that I have wonderful kids."
Sharon is mother to Roan, 11, Laird, six, and Quinn, five, and says that she has no intention of slowing down.
"It's hot to be in your 50s. I'm just crazy about [the fact] that I get to do what I love for a living."
Sharon also spoke about the times in her life which were more challenging including going through a divorce, suffering a miscarriage and undergoing brain surgery.
"It's a little like a country western song," she smiled. "It's not how you fall, it's about how you get up."
