Emma Stone: School plays were cool

8th July 2012

Emma Stone thought it was "super cool" to star in a school play at the tender age of six.

The gorgeous actress landed a role in a play for ten year olds, even though she was younger than the rest of the cast. Speaking to UK magazine Bliss, Emma revealed she got into acting at an early age.

"Because I was loud and hammy, my first grade teacher put me in the school play," explained Emma. "I was like, Everyone else is ten. I'm six. Awesome! I'm so cool in this play!'"

It wasn't all fun times for the actress, who suffered with panic attacks as a child. Emma experienced her first at the age of eight but her love of acting got her through.

"It hit me really hard. It freaked me out and I couldn't leave my mom's side, but then I remembered how good it felt to be on stage," she explained.

Emma, who is currently dating Andrew Garfield, turned to performing sketch comedies to ease her anxiety.

"I met other people like me, who liked the same things I liked," she added. "It became this place where I could be myself and express myself."
