Shenae Grimes: Im not anorexic

12th April 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Shenae Grimes doesnt give a flying f**k that people think shes anorexic.

The actress is best known for playing Annie Wilson in American TV series 90210 and can soon be seen in movie Scream 4. The 21-year-old is slim and has battled constant rumours she has an eating disorder since shooting into the limelight, but she insists they are wide of the mark.

Shenae explained her body type is naturally thin and shes so used to it shes actually sad its started to change recently.

I dont give a flying f**k what they say about the way I look anymore. If you think Im ugly, if you think Im pretty, if you think Im skinny, if you think Im fat, Im not paying attention to any of that sh*t. If you look on the blogs right now youll find 100 people saying Im anorexic, and another 100 saying Ive got fat, she told Grazia.

I was never anorexic, I had the body of a 12-year-old boy until I was 18 and I dont have that body anymore, unfortunately. But no eating habits ever changed. My body just grew up, and realised I wasnt a teenager anymore.

I wish I could go back in time [to my old body], I really do.

The Canadian star admits some of the criticism about her figure did get to her. She constantly worries she isnt as attractive as other Hollywood stars, but is trying to embrace her shape.

I had always felt so insecure about not being perceived as sexy or hot. But now Ive got hips and an ass and some thighs, so Ive got a bit more to work with, she said. Its nice to fit into jeans rather than having them sagging around my butt.

Last year, Shenae received attention after her Scream 4 co-star David Arquette attended her birthday party. It was shortly after his separation from wife Courteney Cox Arquette had been announced, and video footage showed David having a wild time and getting a raunchy dance from a dwarf.

David wasnt the only person getting a lapdance from a dwarf, the others just werent photographed, she laughed. Please! People still talk about that party. (C) Cover Media
