In the recent past Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra was found guilty for placing bets on Indian Premiere League cricket matches.

The duo who was an active investor of Rajasthan Royals team, has decided to sell their stake in IPL. In 2009 the star couple had bought 11.7 percent stake.

IPL chairman Ranjib Biswal informed that they have sent a letter regarding giving up stake in IPL and governing council is yet to take a call on it.

One of the BCCI lawyers said, "I am not sure if the share transfer or surrender will have any influence on the punishment to be imposed on the teams."
