Shilpa Shetty the "leggy Bollywood beauty"  confirmed the news of her pregnancy. The actress whose known to be fitness freak and has the perfect body in Bollywood is expecting her first child with businessman husband Raj Kundra. The couple got married in November 2009 after a  two year courtship. On Saturday Shilpa confirmed her pregnancy and said she is looking forward to the new ‘addition’ to her family. Shilpa is expecting her first child.

The actress is reportedly in her second trimester. The actress kept the news a secret initially but with her entering her second trimester, the couple have shared the news with the media and the actress's fans.

“Yes  an addition to  our  family is  our confirmation to all queries. We seek blessings from all in this very beautiful phase of our lives,” she confirmed on her micro-blogging page.

Shilpa started her career in Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Baazigar' and later went on to do films like 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari', 'Dhadkan','Phir Milenge' and 'Life In A Metro'.

The 36-year-old Shilpa Shetty, who shot to international fame in 2007 after she won Celebrity Big Brother, the UK-based reality show, braving verbal abuse from fellow house mates, juggles film assignments and several businesses, including a spa chain and a video series on yoga and fitness. She also co-owns the Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals with her husband.

Sources close to the soon-to-be parents said  “Shilpa suffered a miscarriage earlier this year, so this time Raj and she did not want to break the news till the first trimester was complete".

Meanwhile Shilpa is said to be  taking good care of herself. Papa- to be Raj is also spending much of his quality time with Shilpa making her comfortable and ensuring that she is taking proper rest to have a safe pregnancy this time around.
