Shraddha Kapoor's film 'Teen Patti' with Amitabh Bachchan and R. Madhavan bombed at the box office in 2010, and after that the debacle of 'Luv Ka The End'.

Although, Shraddha was appreciated for her role in the latter movie, many speculated that it would be the end of the actress' career in Bollywood. But, she was back with a bang as she won the hearts of millions with her performance in 'Aashiqui 2' opposite Aditya Roy Kapur.

The movie which was directed by Mohit Suri under Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Mukesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films banner, turned out to be one the biggest hits of 2013.

Looks like the stars are shining bright on Shraddha as the actress has managed to bag a role in Ekta Kapoor's project.

Ekta along with director Mohit Suri were on the look out for a female lead for their next romantic thriller titled 'Villain' opposite Sidharth Malhotra, who made his debut in the film 'Student of the Year'.

Mohit was quite impressed with Shraddha when working on 'Aashiqui 2', and looks like the adulation was mutual as the actress too, had a great experience working with Mohit on the project. Hence, Shraddha was quick to sign this film after reading the movie script.

With 'Aashiqui 2' and now Ekta's next, Shraddha is definitely going places in tinsel town.
