3rd December 2014

Actor-Producer Shreyas Talpade was dragged to Magistrate Court at Ballard Pier by a VFX company over a dispute regarding payment and credit.

The VFX Company, Jash Shah of Kaichi Productions had worked on his film 'Poshter Boyz' released in August 2014. However, the actor didn't pay them their due informs the lawyer of the company.

Shreyas said, "The name of the company was excluded from the film's credits because they did a shoddy job. As producer, it's my prerogative to decide whose name goes in the credits."

The actor was initially supposed to pay the team Rs. 7 lakh which was later reduced to Rs.5.5 lakh states a source.

The company informs, "After the release of the movie on August 1, 2014, the directors of the company failed and neglected to pay the rest of the consideration amount and also failed to clear the service tax amount in the invoice."

On which Shreyas replied, "Firstly, the cheque bounced not because of insufficiency of funds, but because of a technical glitch in the date line. As soon as they alerted me about this, I issued another cheque which was promptly cleared."

He also accused the company for blackmailing him over this issue.
