January 21, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Filmmaker Shrishti Arya has signed an unconventional on-screen couple for his untitled production. She has planned to bring together Bollywood hunk John Abraham and graceful beauty Chitrangada Singh for her next project.

It is a romantic comedy, which will be directed by astronaut Rakesh Sharmas son Kapil Sharma, who has earlier worked as a first assistant on the movies Being Cyrus, Drona and The Darjeeling Limited. It is his first film as a director. The film is likely to start shooting from next month.

It is reported that Shrishti loved the script and she instantly decided to sign John for playing the male lead because the actors playboy image best suited the character.

Chitrangada has also signed the project, which is expected to have three others actresses for playing the parallel leads.

Director Kapil Sharma says that the movie is much more than a typical rom com as it has an urban and cool take on todays trends. The movie will also focus on todays hip hop culture and Sharma thinks that John represents it best. He has a typical Mumbai boy feature along with an international good look.

Speaking about Chitrangada, the debutant director says that he finds her very gorgeous and sophisticated with equal touch of Indian culture and values.

It will be an interesting pairing for the audience too and we hope the actors will not disappoint their fans.
