Shruti Haasan has denied media reports that she is no longer the lead actress of ‘Gabbar Singh’, which is Pawan Kalyan's Tollywood version of ‘Dabangg’, and Ileana D'Cruz has replaced her.

'This is not true. I am not certain as to how these rumours got started! I am very much the actress in ‘Gabbar Singh’ and I am so excited to be associated with the film,' exclaims Shruti. The actress has apparently been very perplexed after hearing gossips doing rounds that she has been replaced .

She adds, 'The Telugu audiences have been very welcoming to me especially after ‘Seventh Sense’ and ‘Oh My Friend’. And I am keen on portraying a completely different avatar in ‘Gabbar Singh'.

Shruti Haasan is currently shooting in Chennai for a Tamil film titled ‘3’, which is directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya with her husband Dhanush in the lead.
