STR aka Simbu is not just an actor, but a singer, lyricist, director and script writer too. He proved his versatility once again, this time by singing for the Tamil dubbed version of Telugu hit Oh My Friend.

Oh My Friend, a story about friendship and love, has Siddharth, Shruthi Haasan and Hansika Motwani in lead roles. 

The Tamil version has been titled Sridhar and dubbing works are on in a full swing. Simbu recorded the song, which hails friendship, recently. It was composed by his good friend Thaman S.

'The original song was crooned by Benny Dayal. Simbu, who listened before singing the Tamil version, gave his best to it. The number will no doubt be one of the highlights of the film,' say sources in the know.
