Cellphone and internet service providers in the country have been restrained by Madras High Court from in any manner, copying and communicating songs or video content from Dhanush starrer 3.

The order is taken out to prevent anybody from illegally downloading, offering to download, or selling VCDs or DVDs of the movie. 

The John Doe order is called as Ashok Kumar order in India. ‘John Doe' is a general American term used to refer to anonymous or unknown individual. 

In her order, Justice KBK Vasuki also restrained distribution of the movie through DVD, VCD and YouTube as well as other social networking sites. Next hearing of the case is on April 18.

The strict order by the court has helped the film in drawing the audience to the ticket counters. The weekend bookings for the movie are almost full.
