Colleagues cum best buddies - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty and actor Ajay Devgn are turning out to be the most successful duos of recent times.

Together they have given the industry hits like 'Golmaal' series, 'All The Best', 'Singham' and more recently 'Bol Bachchan' that has been already declared as a hit. 

The duo instead of enjoying the success, has already started work on their next, which in all probability will be 'Singham 2'.

Though not much was ever revealed about their plans, Ajay confirmed that the sequel has always been on the cards, "Singham 2 was always there," chuckled Ajay who took the pressure away from Rohit of coming up with the sequel and urged him to take his own time. 

When Rohit was asked to comment over the anticipated sequel, he confessed what makes the franchise special, "One of the reasons I was keen on a Singham sequel is because this film got Ajay and me tremendous respect from the cops and the janta (masses)," added Rohit. 

When probed further over the sequel, Rohit cleared that the film unlike the original will not be a remake, "We found a fresh story for the sequel and that is why we started talking about Part 2. Singham was a remake, but our sequel is not a copy," added Rohit.
