The shooting of the film Kaavalan took place in a dense forest some 150 kms away from Poona. All the cast and crew including Asin and Vijay stayed in the tent pitched in the forest. In the midnight, a snake entered the tent. The crew members got startled and started running away. But Vijay and Asin did not get scared. They stayed in the tent and participated in the shooting. The film is scheduled to hit screens on January 14, 2011 for the occasion of Pongal along with Dhanush's 'Aadukalam' and Karthi's 'Siruthai'.
