Sonakshi Sinha who is all set to make her Tamil debut opposite superstar Rajinikanth will be playing a 40-year-old in the film.

Rajini plays a royal who returns to rule his kingdom after getting an education abroad and then is seen as his grandson.

The film has two female leads, a girl next-door from a bygone era and a contemporary character, and Sonakshi was asked to take her pick. 

Apparently, Sonakshi chose the 40-year-old character as the role was meatier.

The film is slated to go on floors next week.
