Sonakshi Sinha was the first choice to be cast opposite Shahid Kapoor in Pankaj Kapoor’s magnum opus ‘Mausam’, but the role was finally bagged by Sonam Kapoor. Reason being, the team thought that Sonakshi will look older than Shahid on screen.

But now a filmmaker begs to differ. Sabbir Khan has signed the duo for a rom com film to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

According to the reports, the dates given by Sonakshi for Shahid’s film were the same dates required by Yash Raj Films for a movie with Sonakshi opposite Ranveer Singh. But Sonakshi opted for the former and shunned Yash Raj’s offer.

Now, let’s wait and watch if Sonakshi and Shahid's chemistry works on screen or not.
