In spite of getting good reviews for playing the role of Chhedi Singh in Dabaang, Sood was more interested in playing a cop.

So now the 37year old actor plays the role of a police in two Hindi flicks. One in the debut film directed by the South Indian director Puri Jagannath. The film is called Buddha and is going to share the screen with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. According to Sood all the heroes whove been successful have essayed the role of a cop in their career and its now time for him to do that too.

Sood goes on to tell that Puri is one director whose films have high-impact dialogues that will be loved by the audience and since he has a good rapport with him, it will be a fun to work. While Puris Buddha will have a comic element to it, Kabir Kaushiks film is based on the underworld. In which Sood once again plays a cop and has spend some time with the Punjab DGP for the role.

Talking about Dabaang Sonu goes on to tell that as he has enjoyed the success of the film he has also been humbled by it, but life is good for Sonu Sood now. He is all set and rearing to go and be part of some good movies.
