(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Soulja Boy was reportedly arrested in the early hours of this morning for drug possession.

The 21-year-old rapper was stopped by police officers in Temple, Georgia, at around 3.15am local time on Tuesday.

TMZ reports a car, which contained Soulja Boy and four other men, was originally flagged over for a traffic violation.

However, when police checked the vehicle they found a "substantial amount" of marijuana and money. According to one source, there was around $70,000 in cash and drugs in the car.

All five men were arrested and taken to Carroll County Jail.

It is believed that Soulja Boy real name DeAndre Cortez Way - is still being held in the facility.

TMZ are also reporting that law enforcement sources have told them guns were found in the car. However, it is not yet known if the men had the correct licenses to be in possession of the firearms.

Police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident. (C) Cover Media
