Cinema from down south not only swept the National awards but is now also is making its presence felt at the Shanghai International Film Festival.

Vijay's Tamil movie 'Kaavlan', directed by Siddique, has been selected for the Shanghai International Film Festival. The movie is among the 200 selected movies, out of almost 2500 entries. 'Kaavlan' will be screened on the 12th of June and Vijay is expected to fly out to Shanghai to be a part of this huge event. A great opportunity for Vijay and also the Tamil film industry to be recognised in the international arena.

Shanghai Film festival, which is in its 14th year, is one the most distinguished Asian festivals. This year's festival will be commencing on the 11th of June.
