Sr. Bachchan sets yet another record

30th May 2011

The father-son duo, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, sometimes surprise their fans by lending their voice to a musical track in their films. Be it Abhishek's 'Right here Right now' in 'Bluff Master' or be it his latest 'ThyanThyan' in 'Dum Maaro Dum', AB baby has lured his way to success with these famous tracks. Amitabh too has quite a lot of songs to his credit. With his latest film 'Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap', Amitabh has introduced a new singing style in India. Till now everyone has heard the groovy title track sung by Amitabh in this film. The track 'Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap' is recorded in 'Acapella' style that was never used in India before.

'Acapella' music is a solo or a group vocal or singing without any instrumental sound. Music-composers Vishal and Shekhar had planned this since the last few years but didn't get the opportunity to experiment this style with him. With 'Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap' they got the opportunity and they just jumped at it. With the kind of lyrics used in the song, the 'Acapella' style was the most perfect type to indulge in. The composers though, were hesitant in taking this offer to Big B.

When Amitabh heard of this he immediately agreed to record the track without even giving it a second thought. Music director, Shekhar elaborated, "We wanted to try something new with this song. We did the basic setup and then Mr. Bachchan replaced every track with his voice. He recreated the sounds of approximately 10 to 12 instruments, from drum to bass to the snare to the chorus. In a nut shell, he did everything required to make a song!"

Their efforts have paid off, as the track that is heard in the promos is already tagged a hit and people just love it. 'Thoda action, Thoda Jackson, Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap' just can't get that tune out of mind!
