SRK shifts base to Wai

16th April 2013

Over the past five seasons of the Indian Premiere League, we have seldom seen Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan missing his team's (Kolkata Knight Riders: KKR) matches.

But this year it seems to be happening more often than expected.

Be it a win or a loss for the KKR team, in the past SRK was always by their side, so fans were curious to know what was keeping him away from the matches this year.

The actor is busy trying to wrap up his forthcoming Eid release 'Chennai Express'. The film is slated to release on Eid and as the time is inching closer, he wants to complete it so that they have enough time in hand for the movie's post-production and marketing.

SRK's 'Chennai Express' will be pitted against Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan starrer 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2' at the box office, and SRK is not taking this fact lightly.

Wary of the competition, SRK has completely dedicated himself to give his best shot for the film. The actor is so focused on the film that he has even temporarily shifted base to Wai where the shooting is taking place. He is not wasting any time with flying back to Mumbai, as he has apparently been holding business meetings as well as endorsement shoots in Wai itself.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, 'Chennai Express' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
