(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Stephen Moyer has joked he only has sex with wife Anna Paquin on film as it's "dull" otherwise.

The two stars appear alongside each other in American vampire drama True Blood. Their characters Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse have an intense relationship, although both have previously insisted shooting love scenes together is no big deal.

Stephen has now joked they are so used to stripping on set they don't feel the need to get intimate at any other time.

"We don't have sex ever! We only do it in front of the camera if there's nobody pointing a camera at me it's kind of dull," he laughed to Look magazine.

Stephen knows many people don't understand how he and Anna can shoot love scenes. He insists it's not awkward due to all the other people around, adding it's a part of their relationship which has always been there as they met on set.

"It's all we've ever known. For three years we've been in each other's pockets the entire time and I really miss her when she's not there," he explained. "We have to have relationships with other people on set so that comes with its own challenges. People are always saying to me, What's it like watching Anna with somebody else?' Well, think about it from her point of view. A bunch of crew have been watching her with me for four years and have seen us come together as a couple and she has to pretend that she's in love with one of my great mates." (C) Cover Media
