September 11, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Akshay Kumar has donned a new look in his upcoming movie Action Replayy, which is set for a Diwali release. He will be seen wearing flowery shirts with Polka dots, bell-bottoms, huge sunglasses and long side locks.

The actor is starring opposite Aishwarya Rai in this movie, which will take you to the 1970s. Akshay has admitted that his look has been borrowed from Sunil Dutt's look in the 1975 movie Zakhmee.

It is known to all that Akshay's father-in-law Rajesh Khanna was the 'phenomenon' of the 70s. So, Kumar was sure to face the question that why he did not don the look of Rajesh Khanna. On this, the 43 year old actor was quoted replying that he would like to model his look on one star rather than blending it with five or six popular matinee idols. He added that even though his father-in- law was an icon of that era, the look of Sunil Dutt suited his film best.

There is a report that Akshay Kumar changed the look of his character in the promos. The actor said ironically that he has now progressed from trimming the roles of his co-stars to cutting the promos also.

Akshay added he would love to be back the colorful era of 70s to watch the wedding of his parents and would watch his parents falling in love again.

Well, hope the audience loves him in Sunil Dutt's look and the film can create magic at the Box Office during Diwali!
