September 11, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Here is some bad news for all the Dev fans out there, the superstar recently met with a truck accident that will keep him bedridden for quite a few days. In a recent phone interview, the actor said that he had gone to shoot for 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars' as a celebrity guest and on the way back his car got hit by a truck.

Dev was hit in the head and he lost a lot of blood, he was rushed to a renowned private nursing home in Kolkata. The actor said that as soon as he regained consciousness, he could see the entire team of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars' standing next to his bed. The team members had cancelled an entire day's shooting to be there with him.

The accident took place at the Rajarhat Bypass and the shock of the accident has traumatized the actor. Dev is a very busy actor and this accident will certainly throw a wrench in his clockwork schedule. He is supposed to can the shots for the next phase of Sujit Mondol's film. The actor maintains that he has to be present for the shooting as it was a herculean task to get dates from veteran actor Tapas Paul.

Dev also mentioned that his parents are in Mumbai for Ganesh Chaturthi so he has kept the news of the accident from them. Dev thinks his mom will panic and come back to Kolkata if she learns about the accident. We wish Dev a speedy recovery.
