India's most talked about import in recent times has been Indo-Candian Adult film star Sunny Leone.
After a brief stint on a reality show Sunny entered Bollywood which gave her a warm welcome. But there has been a particular section of the society which criticized Bollywood for welcoming a porn star.
She has faced a lot of criticism and negative reviews but despite of the hovering negativity, the actress is unfazed by it.
"Everyone has an opinion and the right to express it. There will always be someone who won't like me, no matter what I do, and I can't stop them. But why do people resort to violence? If you don't like me, don't watch my film. Don't resort to violence to make your point. There are far too many serious issues in India that need attention than a Sunny Leone trying to make a career in Bollywood", said Sunny.
She also added that she is not ashamed of her past as it is a part of her life that has made her what she is today.
"Not at all, it is my past that has given me everything I have right now. I can't and I don't wish to get rid of my past. Besides I can't pretend to be something alien to me, it has been a part of my life and I can't delete it. If I start pretending to be someone else, then it will only last for a short period of time. I am comfortable being what I am," she added.
