One of the most anticipated films of the year which is touted to be a VFX fest '2.0' is all set to release on 29th November. An overwhelming response from the audiences has already hit box-office with a record-breaking 120 cr revenue from advance booking.
However, the Cellular Operators Association of India, COAI, has filed a complaint against the film. Yes, the film has landed into trouble just a day ahead of its release. The makers of 2.0 are accused of promoting obscurantist and anti-scientific attitude toward the mobile phone, towers and mobile services in the film. COAI in the complaint states that the film is wrongly depicting mobile phones and mobile towers as harmful. The complaint has been sent to the CBFC and Ministry of Information and technology.
Meanwhile on the other hand there is also a good news as the makers have expanded their territory and the film is cleared to release in Pakistan. Yes, this Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer sci-fi film will be screened in around 75 cinema theatres across Pakistan. Even a leading daily from Pakistan English newspaper published its advertisement section announcing the start of the advance bookings. The film marks Akshay Kumar's Tamil debut.
