A super-duper suspense thriller!!
After being delayed for over a year, the highly anticipated film 'Talaash' finally sees the light of the day and how. The film that had everyone waiting in anticipation, will sweep you off your feet despite of its edgy and dark concept. The movie that promised to be a treat for the suspense lovers lives up to the hype and manages to encapsulate the frills of dark films in one.
The film revolves around inspector Surjan Shekhawat's (Aamir Khan) quest to find out the truth behind the mystery of a film star's death. Amidst all this, he is dealing with unbelievable instances which give him clues in the case and there's an undeniable belief in him that his son's spirit is trying to communicate with him. Battling this quandary in his personal and professional life as he is going through a rough patch in his married life with wife (Rani Mukerji), while he finds solace in the sex worker Rosy's (Kareena Kapoor) company who is also his key informer.
The story is the main USP of the film and we must say Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar have done a commendable job on the desk. Their screenplay keeps you tied throughout the screening as your nerves clinch with every twist and turn. Reema's direction is smooth despite the uncertain nature of the story. Ram Sampath's music makes it a memorable experience as every song in the film adds mystique elements to it.
The film is a treat for people who enjoy performance oriented roles. The casts boasts of the critically acclaimed stars Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor who are known for their strong onscreen persona and earth shaking performance. All the three actors have performed beyond expectations and no words can describe their onscreen excellence.
Cinematography needs to be specially mentioned as it has omnipresent contribution towards the excellence of cinema in the film. Despite being shot in dark areas and edgy locations, the film looks adorable onscreen and hence the cinematographers deserve special recognition for the same.
Watch it as this 'Talaash' is not worth a miss.
