Taylor Kitsch "feels weird" when he receives flattering remarks on his looks.

The handsome Canadian-born actor is at time uneasy with all the attention he gets.

Although Taylor is flattered that many people think he's gorgeous, the humble star prefers not to have all eyes on him.

"Yes, [the attention] gets old," Taylor told MTV News. "It makes you feel weird. You get awkward like I am right now."

Taylor appreciates the admiration, but the 30-year-old actor isn't at all interested in letting it get to his head.

"Hopefully, it doesn't turn into validation of self," Taylor explained. "It is what it is. It's flattering, but at the end of the day, I only have like, 6,200 mirrors at my house. It's no big deal. Who doesn't?"

Taylor's new movie John Carter is released in the UK on Friday March 9.

The actor is also starring in upcoming Peter Berg's Battleship, alongside Liam Neeson and Rihanna.
