(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Taylor Lautner says fans would not support his "terrible" singing.
The 19-year-old actor studied martial arts for his newest role in action movie Abduction. Although Taylor has confidence in throwing punches, he is not as self-assured when it comes to his singing ability.
"[Singing] is one thing that my fans would probably not support," Taylor told USA Today. "If I ever start singing in a movie, they'll be like, 'Alright, I'm done.' I'm terrible, terrible, terrible."
Taylor thinks he can perform a dance routine better than he can carry a tune. The actor attempted to dance before and would be open to doing it again in the future.
"I would attempt hip-hop dancing," Taylor said. "I was miserable at it. I would mainly use my martial arts skills. And then, occasionally, and when I had to, I would do a dance move."
Instead of being embarrassed about these shortcomings, Taylor celebrates his imperfections. In the past Taylor was a special guest on American comedy show Saturday Night Live where he performed as part of the Sparkle Dance Team in a skit.
"I went in [to SNL] saying, 'I cannot sing, I cannot dance and I cannot do accents.' They are just terrible. I wanted to make fun of all of those things," Taylor recalled. "So we did a foreign kid on The Sparkle Dance Team who sings as well. It was terrible and funny."
Taylor's newest film Abduction will be released in US theatres this weekend. (C) Cover Media
