(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Taylor Swift thinks being single is wonderful, and has no intension of settling down any time soon.

The 20-year-old singer has dated Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner in the past, and was also linked to John Mayer. Most recently she was said to be dating actor Toby Hemingway, who appears in one of her music promos.

The constant rumours about her love life make Taylor laugh, particularly as she feels far too young to get into a serious romance. Being single is wonderful and I love it. I don't ever have a morning where I wake up and say, 'I really need to find a boyfriend today, she told People magazine.

Taylor has often discussed how she writes songs in the past, admitting she uses penning tracks as therapy. She always writes about her own experiences, and the songs on her latest album Speak Now are no different.

The star uses music as a way of saying things she would otherwise find hard to articulate, particularly when it comes to men.

I will say everything in my music, she said. There's been extreme joy, extreme pain, extreme curveballs. Sometimes when things impact you so intensely, it takes writing a song to get over them."

Among the tracks on Taylors new album is one called Dear John, which is widely believed to be about Mayer. The song includes the line, Don't you think I was too young to be messed with, and the young singer has refused to deny claims she penned it with the older musician in mind.

A lot of times when people's relationships end, they write an e-mail to that person and they don't push send, she said. I guess putting it on the album was pushing send. (C) Cover Media
