Looks like Vijay's forthcoming film 'Thuppakki' will finally hit screens this Diwali.  

The makers are hoping to settle the legal issues surrounding the film, that are posing as a hurdle to the film's promotions and release.

Directed by A. R. Murugadoss, 'Thuppakki' is being produced by Kalaipuli .S. Thanu. Kajal Agarwal plays the leading lady in the film.  

When all seemed to be going well for the movie, the hurdle came in the form of a film titled, 'Kalla Thupakki'. They had filed a case against 'Thuppakki', alleging that it's producers had violated copyright rules.

However, with a Diwali release, the filmmakers need to stop worrying about the legal issues, and start worrying about their competition - 'Maatraan' and 'Vishwaroopam' - two big budget, star-based films.

Looks like things are never going to be 'hunky-dory' for 'Thuppakki'.
