Tiger causes bedlam at Perry and Brand wedding

25th October 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katy Perry and Russell Brand are believed to have spent their first married night together in an armed tent after a dangerous tiger made its way into their wedding.

Pop star Katy and comedian Russell tied the knot on Saturday in a lavish Hindu ceremony near Indias Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary, and spent their first night as husband and wife in a traditional tent.

However, a man-eating tiger which had been on the loose is thought to have scaled two walls to arrive just 50ft. from the pairs celebrations in Ranthambhore National Park.

This particular tiger has killed before. It came into the compound at 11pm, with the party at its peak, and caused pandemonium among staff, an official told British newspaper The Sun.

Experts explained the tiger was probably attracted by the bright lights and music coming from the wedding celebrations.

It has been claimed the tiger could have attacked any of Katy and Russells 85 guests who were unaware of the danger and are thought to have included rap star P. Diddy.

Four bodyguards apparently used sticks to urge the giant male tiger, called Maharaja, to return to the forest.

To protect the newlyweds, bodyguards apparently kept watch outside Katy and Russells marital tent. (C) Cover Media
