(Cover) - EN Fashion - Tommy Hilfiger says garments emblazoned with the brands red and white logo may one day come back in style because fashion is cyclical.
The 59-year-old American fashion designer founded his eponymous clothing line in 1985, and hosted a special 25th anniversary party in New York yesterday to celebrate the brands success.
Tommy looked back at his career highlights throughout the party, and insisted the casual wear adorned with the red and white Hilfiger logo the brand became well-known for in the 90s may come back in style one day.
Although the brand is associated with much more elegant and less logo-based fashion nowadays, he says the look could make a return as designing is all about reviving old styles. Nevertheless, Tommy insists a re-launch of the range is not at the front of his mind for now.
Fashion is cyclical, you never know, but I wont say in the very near future anyway, he smiled, when asked by the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph if he had plans to revamp the old range.
The lavish party took place at the Metropolitan Opera House, which was decorated to emulate the American Dream-style glamour associated with the label.
A host of glamorous celebrities were in attendance, including Kelly Osbourne who looked radiant in a tight-fitting monochrome dress. (C) Cover Media
