December 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Woody and Buzz Lightyear were back in 2010 in the third part of Toy Story and they had more power than Alice, Mad Hatter, Leonardo DiCaprio, Harry Potter and even Shrek to become the number one. In the 2010 highest grosser movie title was taken by Toy Story 3.
The 3D computer animation film, directed by Lee Unkrich get the cast of original Toy Story back to carry out another adventure of Woody and Buzz. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprised their roles as the voices of Woody and Buzz and the film went on to do a whopping business of $1.1 billion at the international box-office.
Coming close at number two was Alice in Wonderland directed by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp wore the hat of the Mad Hatter in the film. Though slammed by the critics, the film went on to do a business of $1 billion. The science-fiction, psychological thriller Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead grossed $825.4 million to be positioned at number 3. The film was directed by Christopher Nolan.
The much awaited the first part of the final Harry Potter series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 collected $824.1 million and was at number 4. On the other hand another fantasy animation of the year was Shrek with its final installment Shrek Forever After saw itself at number 5 in the list with $739.8 million.
Completing the rest of the slots was Twilight Saga: Eclipse at number 6 with $693.5 million, Iron Man 2 with $582.2 million at seven. $539.9 collection was made by Despicable Me and got placed in number 8. The two films that wrapped the top ten were How to Train Your Dragon with $494.9 million and Clash of the Titans grossed $493.2 million and was placed in the slots 9 and 10 respectively.
