(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Denise Richards and Elizabeth Hurley are the latest stars to pay tribute to Donna Summer.

The disco queen passed away yesterday at the age of 63. She had been battling cancer, which she had kept a secret from everyone except her husband and children.

Many stars have paid homage to the late singer, with Denise and Elizabeth both using social networking website Twitter to do so.

"Devastating to hear we lost a legend #ripdonnasummer (sic)," Denise wrote.

Elizabeth's post read: "RIP Donna Summer. Thank you for the hours of joy I have spent dancing appallingly to your fabulous music."

Robyn also used the website to express her sorrow, saying she "feels love" for the star.

Hip-Hop star Flo Rida has spoken of his sadness after Donna's death. He was inspired by her music, explaining he used to listen to her tracks.

"I was just looking at something with her months ago," he told MTV News.

"When I got a text message [about her death], I thought, 'Wow, she passed away.' She definitely is one of those iconic people when it comes down to the dance scene and all that. "My condolences go out to all her family. She definitely influenced what I do."

KC and the Sunshine Band star KC real name Harry Wayne Casey was devastated to hear about Donna's passing. He saw her several months ago and had no idea she was unwell.

"She looked great. I'm sure if there was anything going on, she wasn't about to share it with anybody outside of her immediate family," he told ET Online.

"She was my sister in music. I'm going to miss just being able to say hello to her... She will never ever be forgotten."

Other stars to pay tribute to the singing superstar include Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue and Sir Elton John.

Donna's fans gathered at her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where flowers have also been laid in her honour.

The late star is understood to have battled lung cancer, which it's been claimed she thought she developed after ingesting toxins following the 9/11 New York City terrorist attacks. She was reportedly diagnosed ten months ago.

Her body will be buried in Nashville on Monday following a funeral. (C) Cover Media
