V Ravichandran, the mega star of Kannada cinema has deferred his birthday celebrations this year. He has shunned all the offers to celebrate on May 30th and he says he will not be celebrating his 50th birthday this year. The reason behind this is unusual as he wants to celebrate it on the day his ambitious film 'Manjina Hani' releases.

The film has been in the making for last four years. It was complete when he decided to re-do it. He took over the film from the original producer Sandesh Nagaraj and made it all over again. As of now, the money spent on this film is said to be more than any other Kannada film and the costliest in its history.

The delay in completing 'Manjina Hani' has altered many plans for the actor. However his fans can hope to see more of him with if his film 'Mallikarjuna' releases next week.
