(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Vanessa Hudgens says appearing in Sucker Punch was the role of a lifetime.

The star played Blondie in the movie, which was about a group of women who tried to break out from a mental institution. Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Emily Browning and Jamie Chung also starred in it and Vanessa loved spending time with so many strong females.

The chance to be in an all-girl action flick was the opportunity of a lifetime and I wanted to push myself to see how far I could go physically and emotionally, she explained. We did eight hours of training a day, doing martial arts and boxing.

The group all trained hard for the picture as they had to be at the peak of physical fitness. It was something Vanessa enjoyed immensely as it made her feel strong and as if she could take on anything.

It was fun to explore the power that women have, she told Look. I turned myself into a warrior, so I tried to be powerful and sexy. Walking around with a machine gun, how could I not feel like a badass? (C) Cover Media
