(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Vanessa Minnillo enjoyed a private bridal shower in Beverly Hills thrown by her best friend last weekend.

Actress-and-model Vanessa, who is getting married to 37-year-old former 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey, delighted in an intimate celebration with her closest friends and relatives. Some of the festivities guests enjoyed at the lavender themed bash included sipping purple Hpnotiq Harmonie cocktails, taking fun photos with a feather boa in a photo booth and writing sweet notes to the bride-to-be for a bridal shower scrapbook.

When partygoers sat down at the dinner table at the end of the night, Vanessa, 30, became emotional about her upcoming matrimony.

"It was intimate - just 16 people," a source told Us Weekly magazine. "[Vanessa] gave a speech saying her friends represented the 'United States of Vanessa'. Then she teared up, sharing something about each person."

Clearly elated about her upcoming wedding, after addressing each of the guests sitting at the table Vanessa eagerly recited her soon-to-be moniker.

"I heard her trying out 'Vanessa Minnillo Lachey,'" the insider added. (C) Cover Media
