These days it can be said that Tamil cinema is going global. More and more films are beginning to make an impact at the international level.

If Vikram's 'Deiva Thirumagal' directed by A.L. Vijay scooped awards at a film festival in Japan some time ago, now four Tamil films will be part of the prestigious German Film Festival, 2012.

They are: Balaji Sakthivel's 'Vazhakku Enn 18/9', Sargunam directed Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Santha Kumar's 'Mouna Guru' and K.S. Thangasamy's 'Raattinam'.

It is noted that 'Vazhakku Enn'... which released recently, has been hogging the spotlight for touching upon a sensitive subject in a sensible manner.

The others too like 'Sargunam' and 'Mounaguru' released some time ago and made waves while 'Raattinam' released on Friday and expectations are riding high about the movie.
