The latest sensation in Tamil cinema is Vidharth, who made a mark with ‘Mynaa’. With his latest film ‘Mudhal Idam’, which hit the screens last Friday, making waves, he has emerged a hot property in Kollywood.
Critics say that he resembles Vikram in looks. “If he (Vidharth) selects good commercial films, he will fill the gap left by Vikram, who is of late concentrating on off-beat movies,” a section of critics say.
When Vidharth was asked about this, the young actor said, “I take it as a great compliment that I resemble Vikram but I cannot snatch replace him. He is a great actor and he took years to achieve the place where he is now.”
On the success of ‘Mudhal Idam’, he says, “It is a honour for me to be part of a movie produced by AVM Productions, one of the most respected film companies in Tamil cinema. In fact, my grandfather was a small time actor who appeared in a few AVM films. I am happy that I was able to play the lead role in a movie produced by AVM.'
