‘Mankatha’ is no more with Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies. The high profile producer, who was till recently making waves in Tamil cinema by acquiring many films, has sold the 50th movie of Ajith’s to K E Gnanavelraja of Studio Green.

Studio Green is a company close to the Sivakumars and it has produced films starring Suriya and Karthi in the past. Gnanavelraja, a close relative of Suriya-Karthi, is happy about acquiring ‘Mankatha’.

“The film is going to the censors today. Once it is certified, we will make our best efforts to release it worldwide by the 31st of this month (August). I am so proud to release ‘Mankatha’ under my banner,' says Gnanavelraja.

Sources say that even Ajith and director Venkat Prabhu too are happy with the fresh development. With music by Yuvanshankar Raja, 'Mankatha', a multi-starrer, has Arjun, Trisha, Anjali, Andrea Jeremiah, Lakshmi Rai, Premji Amaren and Vaibhav Reddy in pivotal roles.
