Highly acclaimed filmmaker Sudhir Mishra has finally found his "Mehrunnisa". Since last few months Sudhir has been busy scouting for a lead actress who would play the title role in his forthcoming film "Mehrunnisa". From Chitrangada Singh to others, many big names have been linked to the project.

However it is Vidya Balan who has caught their attention. Vidya has been narrated the story and reportedly has also given the nod to star in it. However despite of giving her nod to the film, she wouldn’t be able to start shooting for the film until and unless her prior commitments are fulfilled. She recently signed Raj Kumar Gupta’s film "Ghanchakkar" and has already allotted the dates for the same. She will be able to commence "Mehrunnisa" in year end.

But Sudhir is so adamant on having Vidya in the film that he has agreed to wait for Vidya.
