January 22, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): There have been a lot of speculation regarding Tamil star Vijays entry into the politics. Now, his filmmaker father S A Chandrasekar has cleared the air saying that his son will enter politics only when he turns 40-year old. The actor is now 36-year old, so his fans will have to wait for four more years to see the politician avatar of the actor.
There was a buzz that Vijay will be seen in the political field in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. In an interview, his director father said that Vijay has always been keen to serve the people, so he would definitely try his hand in politics but it will happen only when he turns 40-year old.
Mr Chandrasekar further said that a section of people does not want any film personality to enter politics because they are scared about their popularity, which may doom their political future. He added that people know who those people are.
Speaking about the failure of his sons latest release Kavalan, Chandrasekar said that those who do not want a bright political career of Vijay, they also ensure that he does not have a good acting career. The doting father further said the Vijay cannot be compared with legendary MGR but people are taking him to that height.
Well, we understand the delay because Vijay will have many films to do in this time period as the lead hero but that may lessen once he turns 40-year old. So he is trying to make best use of these years in his acting career if entering politics.
